Week 8 Update

In Week 8, the Game of the Week between Team Hunt420 and The JettaSons lived up to the hype. The back and forth slugfest went down to the wire. It was truly anyone's match until Jared Goff stood on business and gave his best Mariano Rivera impression by closing out the game for The JettaSons as they come out victorious against Team Hunt420.

Both team stand at 5-3 and remain comfortably in the playoff hunt. Looking forward to Week 9 both teams will have their hands full. The JettaSons are once again entering the week with a depleted roster due to players having a bye week. The thrown together roster is a heavy underdog as they step in to their Week 9 matchup. Team Hunt420 will look to reclaim the throne as they take on Njigbas With Attitude. Speaking of Njigbas With Attitude, they won yet another game, extending their win streak to five games. From the bottom, to the hottest team in the league, Njigbas With Attitude embarrased their opponent, Team Bigblack74, 161.48-134.68. This game was never close as Christian McCaffrey led the way with 29.80 points. This team is rolling and looks to be one of the top formidable opponents in the league. As for their Week 8 opponent, Team Bigblack74 remains in the playoff hunt even after their loss. A rebound week is possible, but it'll be a tall task as they go up against another bubble team, SkeeeYee! SkeeeYee! took care of business in Week 8 by defeating the Northpark Sixes. A huge game from Jahmyr Gibbs catapulted SkeeeYee! to their 4th victory of the year. They're hopeful that they can finally garner some momentum as they go for another win in Week 9. On the other hand, Northpark Sixes keep notched another loss and looks to be the worst team in the league Their fortune might turn around soon once they get their running backs back from IR, but it may be too late to make a serious playoff push. They may have found themselves in the position to play spoiler for the rest of the season. Another team that may have found themselves in a similar situation, Team RomeIAI, lost their their sixth game of the year in consistent fashion. Team RomeIAI was involved in another high scoring affair that led to the same result he has experienced all season long. 161.86-152.56 was the final score between Team RomeIAI and Team ColeWorldNoRelation. There were some rumblings through out the league on Team ColeWorldNoRelation needing to make some changes. All of that was put to bed after the team manager let the league know from Cell Block 71 to "R-E-L-A-X" by dropping one of their highest point totals of the year.

Team ColeWorldNoRelation moves back in contention as a possible contender as they head in to Week 9. It could be short lived since they'll have to face off against the top team in the league Team Sanders32. Team Sanders32 is on auto pilot as they continue to stack wins. In Week 8, Team Sanders32 squashed I Want You Davant Me, 121.66-98.70. They've reclaimed the the top spot after clutching their sixth win of the year. On the flip side, I Want You Davant Me struggles yet again. Losing has become all too familiar for the squad. At 3-5, they're still in it, but they must string together consecutive wins in the upcoming weeks. There is still a lot of football left so, the playoff picture remains wide open, but the teams outside looking in are running out of time to gain some ground. Week 9 will be a pivotal week for those teams not within the top 4. Good luck to everyone and make good decisions.
