In Week 7, the league crowned a new #1 team as Team Hunt420 embarrassed Team ColeWorldNoRelation 180.16–127.06. They’ve claimed their rightful place on the throne for the first time this season after being in the mix for majority of the year. Correct adjustments, as noted by Team Hunt420’s manager, and outstanding production from their star players ushered this team in to their current position. They hope to maintain the top spot in Week 8 as they take on a potential rival The JettaSons. As for their Week 7 opponent, Team ColeWorldNoRelation extended their losing streak to 4 games, making it the longest losing streak of the season. One would believe that this team could turn it around, but it appears that the manager of the team is not interested in making any adjustments like Doc Rivers in his last five Game 7s.

This team will continue to stumble if the manager doesn’t get a hold of this team. They have a shot in Week 8 to redeem themselves against Team RomeIAI. In other news, more drama unfolded in the league in Week 7 as 3 upsets occurred. The first upset was decided by less than 2 points as Team Bigblack74 defeated Team Sanders32. TJ Hockenson played hero on National Tight End Day by scoring 25.10 points, pushing his team to victory. Team Bigblack74 ended their losing streak at 2, but may have lost their WR1 to the criminal justice system. Chris Olave was booked and given his Miranda Rights after being pulled over for going 35mph over. The manager gave us some insight on the situation by stating, “Minor speeding infraction.#FreeMyGuy” He is hopeful that this situation does not affect Olave’s availability for the rest of the year. As for his Week 7 foe, Team Sanders32 experienced their second loss of the season, ultimately falling in the overall and power rankings. This appears to be just a minor hiccup, and the team insists that it will get back to their winning ways.

The second upset was not as close, but the win spread was less than 10 points as I Want You Davant Me sneaked out a victory against The JettaSons. The match up was underwhelming and would have hit every under if there were betting lines. Even though it was ugly, I Want You Davant Me’s QB, Jordan Love, was able to turn it around in the 2nd half for his squad which catapulted his team to 3-4. They’ll get another shot to return to .500 in Week 8 as the underdog yet again when they face Team Sanders32. As for The JettaSons, this is starting to get all too familiar for the squad as they once again follow up a win from the previous with a loss the following week. The manager of the inconsistent squad has accused his team of “Taking the game off,” but it appears that his team wasn’t prepared which falls on the manager. This team heading in to Week 7 was thin at all positions and didn’t have enough players to fill the starting roster. Questionable decisions such as dropping Kareem Hunt and starting Mecole Hardman and Craig Reynolds proved to be decisions detrimental to the team. Let's hope this team is prepared going in to Week 8 when they take on Team Hunt420.

The last upset of the week, and the most surprising one, Team RomeIAI got another win for the season. They defeated SkeeeYee! by 13.58 points. The manager of Team RomeIAI celebrated seeing his first round draft pick put up 42.90. We caught up with the manager after clutching his second win and he said this, “Just needed that second win. Hopefully I can win out the rest of the season.”

A win streak of that magnitude is possible, but it will take a great deal of luck and flawless decision making for that to happen. We’ll keep an eye on this team if they keep their “streak” alive through Week 8 when they play against Team ColeWorldNoRelation. SkeeeYee! is back under .500 and falling out of playoff contention. After their matchup, the manager made a trade to bolster his roster by acquiring Garrett Wilson and sending away Alexander Mattison. He’s hopeful that this move is enough to push this team back in to the playoff race. Lastly, Njigbas With Attitude handled their Week 7 opponent, Northpark Sixes. It was a wire to wire win for Njigbas With Attitude as they finally reached above .500 for the first time this year. Ever since starting 0-3, the squad been standing on business by going on a 4 game win streak. The dangerous squad will put their streak on the line when they take on Team Bigblack74, a team the manager is very familiar with. From one team heading in one direction to another team heading in the complete opposite direction, the Northpark Sixes are struggling. The playoffs appear out of reach at this moment, but the acquisition of Alexander Mattison could turn the team’s fortune around. With Cam Akers in the fold it will be tough for Mattison to reach the potential the fantasy world placed on him preseason. We’re getting closer to the playoffs and teams are clawing their way to remain in the hunt. The top 2 teams appear to have solidified their spot as playoff teams. The margin of error between the rest of the teams remain slim since only 1 game separates the third ranked team from the eighth ranked team. Good luck to everyone in Week 8 and make smart decisions.
